Support
Quiet Riot Studio, the developer of Inkblot, supports the theme. Send your request with the contact form at the bottom of this page.
What support covers
- Bugs in the theme
- Something in Inkblot doesn't work the way this documentation describes.
- Questions about settings and features
- What a setting does, where to find it, or why a section looks the way it does. The Theme settings reference and the Sections reference list every setting with the label that the theme editor shows.
- Setup guidance
- Help setting up your store with Inkblot, such as templates, menus, filters and the metafields the theme reads. Start with Getting started, Product pages, Collections and search and Pages and templates.
What support doesn't cover
- Custom code changes
- We don't write or change code for your store. This includes edits to the theme files and any Liquid, HTML, CSS or JavaScript that you add in the Custom Liquid section.
- Third-party apps
- We don't install, set up or troubleshoot apps, or the app blocks and app embeds that they add to the theme. Contact the app's developer instead. Shopify explains how in Getting help with apps. If an app block doesn't appear in the theme editor, check that you're adding it to one of the three sections that accept app blocks: Product information, Featured product or Reviews.
- Design work beyond the settings
- We can't create layouts, styles or features that the theme settings and sections don't offer. For that kind of work, you can hire a Shopify Partner through the Shopify Partner Directory.
Response time
We reply to every request within two business days. A complete request is the quickest to solve, so include everything in the next section the first time you write.
What to include in your request
- Your store URL
- Your own domain or your .myshopify.com address. If your store is in private mode, also include the storefront password from Online Store > Preferences. Never send the password that you use to log in to your Shopify admin.
- Your theme version
- For example 1.0.0. See Find your theme version.
- Steps to reproduce the problem
- The page where it happens, what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. Tell us the device and browser, and your Motion budget setting. Some features work differently on phones and touch screens, on low-powered devices, and for visitors who turn on reduced motion.
- Screenshots
- Show the problem as you see it. If it happens on a phone, take the screenshot on the phone.
- A duplicate of your theme, if you or an app edited the code
- Tell us which files changed, and send a preview link to a duplicate of the edited theme. See Share a duplicate of your theme.
Find your theme version
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store. The version number shows with each theme.
Share a duplicate of your theme
A duplicate is a separate copy of your theme. Shopify doesn't let you share a preview of your published theme, so a duplicate is how we see the problem. It also keeps showing the problem while you continue working on your live theme.
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store.
- Next to Inkblot, click the button with three dots to open the actions menu.
- Click Duplicate. The copy appears on the same page, and its name starts with Copy of.
- Next to the copy, click the button with three dots.
- Click Preview.
- In the preview bar, click the link button to copy the preview link.
- Paste the link into your request.
After you send your request
When you send the contact form below, you get an automatic confirmation by email. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder before you send the form again.
